HOME
Bramble Hill is a small family farm located in the far southeastern corner of Minnesota.
We raise sheep because they are a good environmental fit for this landscape—and because we enjoy them.
Our goals:
To manage our land to promote healthy soil, animals, plants—and people
to reduce run-off to improve water quality in our own watershed and beyond
to encourage local wildlife above, on, and in the soil
To appreciate and preserve the natural beauty of this place
to hear the first peepers in the spring
to taste the first strawberry of the year
to smell the woodsmoke in fall
to see the Northern Lights on the way to the barn in March
To be part of a thriving agricultural community, sharing work and play with our friends, family, and neighbors
to drink cold water together after putting a load of hay in the shed
to laugh with friends in the yard while the lamb roasts over the wood fire
To raise as much of our own food as we reasonably can and
to share that food—with good wine and good humor—around our table
